Morley Spurs 1, Goole Town Girls U13s 9

Goole Under 13s travelled to Morley and were amongst the goals once more, with Jess Tait and Kirstie Nicholls scoring all nine between themselves.

The Morley defence never got to grips with the visiting strikers, who have netted 31 goals so far this term in impressive style.

On a poor surface, hardly conducive to attractive football, mistakes were bound to happen but Goole, who had Lauren Anderson deputising in goal, were never in trouble.

Howden girl Kayleigh Cooper made her debut and changes were required, with Jessica Bisby playing in the unaccustomed position of left back, but to good effect.

Goole will have a tougher assignment on Sunday entertaining high flying Norristhorpe Bees at Vermuyden School.

Prospect Juniors 4, Goole Town Girls U11s 0

Goole travelled to top of the table Prospect Juniors facing their hardest game so far this season.

After conceding an early goal, Goole's defence of Fox, Clark and Harrison put in a sterling performance to keep it to 1-0 at the break.

A fighting start to the second half saw Wilson, Whitehead and Hind produce several dynamic runs, but they lacked a finish on the end of their good work and Prospect scored twice in quick succession to show how it should be done.

The home side scored a fourth five minutes from full time giving them a result, which slightly flattered them as Goole turned in a show they could be proud of, all they lacked was a finish.

Pinefleet Wolfreton 1, Goole Town Girls U10s 0

Conditions were far from ideal for this Under 10s game which turned into an even contest, with neither side establishing the upper hand.

The only goal of the game came the way of the home side in the second half with Amber Atkinson finding the breakthrough after a strong run through the heart of the Goole defence.

Both sides had half chances before that with Wood going close for Goole and Emily Escreet, Pinefleet's only striker coming close on two occasions.

Goole never gave up and Hannah Beare almost salvaged a point, but the home keeper was alert to deny her coming out to clear ther lines.

Pinefleet held on for the narrow win, and for Goole Sophie Acaster was impressive and Jamie Allen made several strong runs.

Pollington Pan. U12s 1, Goole Town Tigers U12s 6

Goole travelled to Eggborough for their latest game with Pollington Panthers the hosts, and despite the inclement conditions of driving rain and a strong wind in their faces, opened positively.

However for al their early dominance, the home side struck with their first corner of the game, the ball coming out to their striker and his unstoppable shot found the bottom corner.

Goole's reply was to swamp the home goal, and from a free kick on the edge of the area, Danny Cotton equalised from Aidan Ward's set piece.

Steve Pinkney put Goole ahead following a goalmouth scram ble and the visitors were in control with a sweeping move the length of the pitch and Adam Brigham rifled home.

The second half started as the first had ended and an own goal led to Goole's fourth with Cotton and Knowles involved in the build-up.

Brandon Stannard added Goole's fifth, and then excellent work by Ben Webster set up Stannard for his second.

In testing conditions both sides deserved the plaudits for their fitness.

Goole's Man of the Match award went to Nathan Cooper.

This Saturday Goole entertain Cowick Rangers at South Park, kick off 10.30am.
