A second successive blank Saturday for Goole's senior teams, with the Premier Division game with Dunnington at Westfield called off on Saturday morning, likewise the second team's trip to Londesborough Park.

It was a little ironic that one of the better Saturday afternoons, as it turned out, had no cricket, but whereas the outfield would have been perfectly playable, water had seeped under the covers onto the wicket, rendering play impossible, and with drizzle falling in the morning there was no alternative.

The Premier Division otherwise was relatively unscathed, with games going ahead and a shock for leaders Woodhouse Grange, who became victims of Malton and Old Malton's first league win of the campaign by nine wickets.

Stamford Bridge took closer order, they beat Thirsk, and those teams are Goole's next opponents on the forthcoming two Saturdays.
