Taking two victories from two starts proved to be the dream weekend for local bike racer Adam Child from Hook.

Adam, sponsored by Ken Urwin Motorcycles, had to start from the back of the grid due to a late entry but still managed to battle his way through the field to take the win with only two corners remaining.

In the second race Adam, or Chad as most know him, led from pole position to take a comfortable victory.

Chad also entered the 1000cc Senior race, despite only riding a GSXR600 and obviously lacking power. However, he battled hard on board his Ken Urwin-sponsored Suzuki to take two second places.

Chad told the Goole Times: "It was nice to get back to winning. I was really pushing hard in the 600 race, but against the 1000 I was on the limit - there was nothing left.

"The bike was virtually faultless so I have to say a massive thanks to my brother for working on the bike, Ken Urwin Motorcycles for their support and Chris, who helped on the day."

Chad will be racing in the GSXR600 cup this weekend as a support race for the Moto GP at Donington Park, on a loaned bike. He's got his fingers crossed for a top ten finish.
