Cowick Rang. U13s 4

Pollington Panthers 0

Normal service resumed for Cowick after the previous week's disappointment at league leaders Monk Fryston as they mastered the windy conditions at Croda to beat local rivals Pollington Panthers 4-0.

The home side's Fraser West opened the scoring with a well-executed goal following a sublime pass from Nicky Fletcher. They increased their advantage shortly after great persistence from Charlie Britton saw his shot find the back of the net after doing so well in the penalty area.

All the players contributed in a fine first-half performance, with Josh Breedon called to action as the Panthers tried to respond with several good saves, but the game was as good as over when West scored his second just before the break.

All the substitutes were used for Cowick after the interval and one of them Aaron Newman scored a fourth in the second half when Fraser West squared the ball for him to net, and near time Banks cracked a free kick against the crossbar.

The Rangers' Man of the Match was Josh Breedon.

Gilberdyke Juniors U8 5 Pollington Panthers U8 0

Gilberdyke Juniors powered their way to third in the table with a resounding win.

Starting with the wind at their backs, they looked to extend their unbeaten run to six games.

Cameron Dower looped over the unlucky keeper to put the home side ahead.

Soon after, in a struggle to clear their lines, Pollington conceded a second when Nathan Creaser poked home from close range to end the half with the home side comfortably ahead.

Alex Render tucked away a third for Gilberdyke.

The Juniors left their best goals until last; first with a screaming shot from the right, producing Nathan Creaser's second, before Cameron Dower rounded off the match by bagging a long-range effort that the visiting keeper could only get his finger tips to.

In the friendly that followed, Pollington fared better as they held the home side to 1-1.
