Goole Tn. Girls U11s 8
Bingley 0
Goole Under 11s were hosts to the quarter-finals of the shield against Bingley on Sunday.
From the kick-off Town were on top, strong running in all areas, and after five minutes Jamie Allan (right, 28-02-38 SU) opened her account with a neat left-foot finish to take the lead.
The home side continued to play some outstanding football throughout the half, with Allan completing her hat-trick and Hannah Beare finishing off a well-worked move.
Goole struggled to find their first-half form in the early stages of the second half, but the pressure finally told and Allan added another followed by an Isabelle Hassleman through run and strong shot. Yet another from Allan and a finish from close range from Beth Leeman wrapped up the scoring.
This was a good team performance, with Jamie Allan outstanding, scoring five goals, and defenders Sophie Acaster and Leah Dennis having strong games at the back, denying Bingley any real opportunities.

The 16s travelled to Huddersfield-based Battyeford in the quarter finals of the shield and ran out comfortable winners.
Goole started strongly gaining good possession of the ball and opened the scoring with a well-struck shot from Megan Oldridge.
Town were dominating the midfield, with Nisa Wakefield in commanding form. The lively Abbie Wilkinson added to the scoring and an in-swinging corner from Lucy Peet deceived the Battyeford keeper to score direct. Battyeford nearly pulled a goal back but keeper Louise Ramsden made a good save with her legs. Another strike from Wilkinson gave Goole a 4 -0 lead at half time.
Goole continued to dominate the second half, although they had to work hard at it as Battyeford were showing plenty of fight. The impressive Megan Oldridge added her second and Becky Walker got the sixth with a well-struck free kick. Leading scorer Abbie Wilkinson completed her hat-trick with the goal of the game scoring from twenty five yards.
This was a good performance with Becky Walker outstanding and Megan Oldridge and Abbie Wilkinson showing good understanding up front.

Malet Lambert U10s 10,
Goole Town Girls 1
Malet proved far too strong for Goole at Malet on Saturday when the East Hull club repeated their score at Goole from earlier in the season.
The tone was set after 35 seconds when the first goal from Malet hit the net.
The more experienced Ellie Shepherd and Lauren Holmes were the chief destroyers with seven goals between them.
Hesitancy by the Goole players and an inability to read the game were just two of the major faults in the Goole side. Costly errors that have proved disastrous this season on several occasions.
Nevertheless the Goole player of the match Bethan Taylor eventually showed how it should be done with a great 40-yard run and shot which was without doubt the best goal of the day.
Goole Town Girls: Abbie Dennis, Bethan Taylor, Elizabeth Clark, Mollie Down, Katie Challenger, Freya Smart, Katie Dennis, Ashleigh Oldridge, Demi Broadhead.
