Barlby Raiders U13s 0

Cowick kicked off the year 2008 in rousing style on Saturday when they thrashed visitors Barlby Raiders at Croda.

Goals have been easy to come by so far this season, and there was no sign of any malaise from the Christmas and New Year break, as they dominated the match from start to finish.

They were leading 8-0 at the half time interval with goals from Liam Stainthorpe, who completed a hat-trick, two from Fraser West and one each for Josh Banks, Joe Westerman and Nicky Fletcher.

With excellent deliveries from both flanks, the visitors were under constant pressure.

The second half was similar, Barlby on the back foot and further goals from Rangers Man of the Match Fraser West, whose hat-trick took him to four for the morning, Charlie Britton and Josh Breedon, who played outfield in the second half.

Barlby tried to the end, and stand-in keeper Ben Spencer made one good save to deny even the merest of consolations.

Cowick travel to Carlton Cannons this Saturday, with a 10.30am kick off.
