The second half saw the visitors adopt a positive approach despite their deficit. They battled hard to get back into the game, putting the Goole back line under pressure, but it stood up well with Ellie Wilkinson in fine form.

New additions to the squad this season, Georgia Whitney and Laura Theaker, both had good games at left back.

Leeds Amazons 0, Goole Town Girls U11s 7

Goole Under 11s started their second half campaign in fine form, moving back to the top of the table with a convincing win in Leeds.

The game played on a less than regular-sized pitch helped the home side defend but there was no stopping the visitors, who carried on their early season form with a resounding win.

Goals came from Issabelle Hassleman (2), Beth Leeman (2), Jamie Allan, Hannah Beare and Emily Lappin.

All the Goole team did well, interchanging positions and causing havoc in the Leeds rearguard.

Had it not been for a sterling display from the home keeper, who handled and positioned in superb fashion, the score would have been into double figures.

Goole were so much in command and defended the odd break that keeper Farrah Fielder did not have a serious shot to save all the game.

On this form Goole should be amongst the front runners for the League title and possible West Riding Shield finalists.
