Junior coaching starts in the New Year

Coaching sessions start early in the New Year for Goole C.C. junior section.

They take place at the Leisure Centre for 5 - 11-year-olds on Fridays between 4pm and 5pm from January 4 until the end of March.

This age group will be working on the fundamentals of agility, balance, co-ordination, speed and small-sided games.

For the 12 - 15-year-olds coaching is on Thursdays between 5pm and 6.30pm, starting on Thursday, January 3 and running until the end of March. This age group will be working on skills before moving into the nets.

Sessions cost £2. All coaches are ECB qualified, CRB checked and hold a first aid certificate.

Senior nets also imminent

Meanwhile the seniors will commence their preparations for the new season with indoor nets at the Leisure Centre, starting on Thursday, January 3 from 8.30pm - 9.30pm.

Bats and batting gloves only for the first few sessions.

Fitness training has actually started at the Vermuyden School on Tuesdays.
