Six players to join the elite academy

The highly successful Howden Under 7s football team have had six of their players invited to join Leeds United's elite academy.

The players have been given the opportunity to attend ongoing trials with Leeds United and all have had their invitations extended up to Christmas.

The team, who play in the Selby League, are presently in second place in the league and are due to face the league leaders Barlby next week.

The team is coached by Malcolm Phillips.
