Beverley W.B. U11s 2
Howden Town U11s 8
Howden travelled to Wyke League leaders Beverley needing a win to leap-frog their hosts and claim top spot.
After starting the game well, though, they found themselves a goal down after the home side's first attack.
It was John Boardman who made Howden's first, getting to the bye-line before crossing to give Luke Woodall an easy tap-in.
Woodall quickly fired home a second after Reece Almond's long-range shot was only parried.
The third came from a corner as Shaun Logan controlled with his chest and struck home.
Woodall claimed his hat-trick, shooting home from another corner.
A Beverley free kick was headed off the line by Reece Almond on half time.
A good individual run and shot gave the home side their second after the interval, but Reece Almond replied with a header from another corner and Corey Harrison scored Howden's sixth with a hard, low shot into the bottom left hand corner, followed by another great move involving Boardman, Ullathorne and Almond allowing Tom Hick a tap in.
The final goal also resulted from intelligent play - Sam Challenger's throw-in near the half way line was headed on by Harrison to give Boardman a chance to cut in from the right at speed and beat the keeper at his near post.
The win took Howden to the top of the Wyke League.
