Hook's Adam Child had an impressive race at Elvington, near York, taking three wins out of three races in the Rookie class at the weekend.

On board his Ken Urwin Motorcycles, Suzuki GSXR600 he led from start to finish in the two open races, but had to battle hard in the final race to take the checked flag in race three.

Thanks to sponsorship from www.theFSD.com Adam or Chad as he is more commonly knows also entered the highly competitive Supersport series against much more powerful machines.

Chad surprised the field and qualified fourth, on the front row, and led all three races for the first few opening laps. However, Chad's bike was lacking horsepower compared to newer machinery and was soon passed on the straights.

Undeterred Chad fought hard to finish second in the last eight lap Supersport race of the day, with a third and a forth earlier in the day.

Chad told the Goole Times. "Obviously I'm happy with three wins, but the second place in the Supersport means the most to me.

" I've never ridden so hard, the bike worked well despite been slow on the straights. I just pushed really hard and took some big risks, but it played off.

"I have to thank my sponsors www.theFSD.com and Ken Urwin motorcycles without them all this wouldn't be possible. I've also have to thank everyone who helped me out, it really was a team effort."
