Cup final booking for Goole Under 13s

Pool 0, Goole Town Girls U13s 3
The Under 13s reached the West Riding Cup final on May 6 with a battling performance in atrocious conditions in Wharfedale on Sunday.
A howling gale and intermittent snow showers meant that at one stage the players left the field for ten minutes, such were the elements.
The home side had the first use of the conditions at their backs, but despite all the possession they created few problems for a resolute Goole rearguard. For their part the visitors had few opportunities going forward, and with Leesa Pinkney showing assured handling they made the break unscathed.
The second half saw Goole find the home rearguard equally as tenacious, and whether it was the conditions or not, the forwards were a little off the pace.
With twelve minutes to go Pool rattled the woodwork as extra time looked a possibility, but eventually Goole found their range and shooting boots to win the tie, with two goals from Jessica Tait and one for Kirstie Nicholls (right 22-02-04 SU), this after the latter had been well marshalled for much of the game.
Sophie Howard and Ellie Wilkinson shone for the visitors on a day for battling performances, and they now face York City at Ingfield, the home of Ossett Town F.C. on May 6.
Leeds City Vixens 0, Goole Town Girls U15s 4
In order to remain at the head of Division One, Goole travelled to a gale-lashed Adel Memorial ground on Saturday to face Leeds City Vixens without three players through injury and unavailability.
The visitors had the gale behind them in the first half, and knew they would require a cushion of goals to feel comfortable and despite not being at their best, had an early goal from Naomi Chadwick, one that was hotly disputed by the home side.
Goole were on top, but had to wait until almost half time to net two further goals, which gave them something to defend in the second half. Chadwick's second was followed by one for Becky Whitaker.
However, against the elements in the second period, Goole were a different side with everyone contributing, especially the midfield duo of Becky Walker and Nisa Wakefield.
They made absolutely sure of the points midway through the half with Whitaker scoring her second, and this now sets up their most crucial game of the season this Sunday at Vermuyden School against Cloughthorpe Tigers.
Shipley Juniors 0, Goole Town Girls U11s 3
More appalling conditions and a pitch to match for the Under 11s at Shipley on Sunday.
Goole played with the wind at their backs in the first half and led by a single goal scored by Stannard, otherwise they were well held by the organised Shipley rearguard.
After the break the defensive trio of Fox, Clark and Pinkney coped with an early onslaught, such that keeper Smith hardly touched the ball. They swept to the other end to seal the win with Stannard's second after good work by Hind; then Stannard turned provider for Whitehead to finish in style for a good win.
Goole Town Girls U10s 2, Pinefleet Wolfreton 2
Poor conditions were the order of the weekend, but Goole's youngest team showed great fighting spirit to force a 2-2 draw at West Park.
Against the wind in the first half, Goole found forward progress extremely difficult and conceded twice, once to Amber Atkinson.
The second half saw a turnround in fortunes, but only after the home side found it difficult initially to force any chances.
Wolfreton looked dangerous on the break, but eventually Jamie Allan pulled one back, breaking away to score clinically, and then relatively recent newcomer Isobelle Hassleman set up a grandstand finish with an unstoppable shot. Despite both sides going all out for the winner, a draw was a fair result.
