Feedback needed for flood defence scheme

The Environment Agency is holding a drop-in session at Swinefleet next week to talk to residents about proposed improvements for their flood defences.
The plans extend from Warping Drain, south-west of Swinefleet, behind the properties on High Street and to Sweyne Garth.
The stretch, which is approximately one kilometre long, has been looked at in four sections so that engineers can devise the most suitable options for each part.
The team, along with design consultants Halcrow, will be at Swinefleet Village Hall on Wednesday, December 6, from 3pm to 8pm.
Environment Agency project manager Nick Lupton said: "This is the chance for residents to hear about the proposed work close to their homes, and to give us their views.
"We are looking at a number of options and we want feedback from residents before we make a final decision on the scheme design."
The proposals have been a challenge for the team because there is little space between the river Ouse and the built-up area to make improvements.
The area has also been designated nationally and internationally as important for nature conservation.
Some of the options include: raising the existing wall along some sections; widening existing embankments; and building new walls.
