A DRIVER was cut free from her vehicle by firefighters and taken to hospital last week when a lorry was in collision with her car outside Drax Power Station.
The incident happened shortly before 5pm on Wednesday, November 22 along the A645. Fire fighters from Selby cut the woman free from the car, and remained at the scene for more than two hours.
Both the driver and the lorry driver were taken to Goole Hospital for treatment, though their injuries were not thought to be serious.
A spokesperson for Selby Fire Station said that there were two children in the car with the woman, aged four and three years-old, but both only had minor injuries.
The road was closed for a number of hours after the crash. Police inquiries into how the incident occurred are ongoing. (23-11-39 SP)
