Getting 'em in ready for spring!

Published on 30th November 2006 in News

Last Sunday members of the Rotary Club of Goole's Environmental Committee were out and about planting Daffodil bulbs ready for spring.

This is the tenth year that the Rotary Club has planted bulbs around Goole for the enjoyment and pleasure of the general public. An estimated one tonne of bulbs has been planted during this period.

This year's bulbs, kindly sponsored by the Vikings Hotel in Goole, were planted in West Park and on the verges of Hook Road. The Environmental Committee is chaired by Rotarian Robert Young who has organised the bulb planting for the last nine years.
