Seriously injured in dock fall

Published on 30th November 2006 in News

A man was taken to hospital with serious head injuries in the early hours of Monday morning after an incident at Goole docks.

The man, thought to be a Polish able seaman, is a crew member on the MV Frej. He was apparently working on top of a cargo container when he slipped and fell between two containers.

He was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary by ambulance and although there were initial concerns about his condition, he has since improved.
