Not sinking...

Published on 30th November 2006 in News

Emergency services were called to help a barge reported to be sinking in the river Ouse near Swinefleet shortly before 6pm on Monday.

The call was classed as a false alarm with good intent after the skipper explained the barge had run aground and was waiting for the tide to come in so it could be refloated.
