Power cut

Published on 30th November 2006 in News

Fifty-eight households in Rawcliffe were left in darkness last Thursday after an underground fault meant the power had to be off for several hours.

Catherine Elmsley, spokesperson for CE Electric, said that an underground service fault had affected one customer on Chapel Lane, meaning that supplies were interrupted between 9.53am and 9.20pm.

"We had to interrupt supplies to a further 57 customers on High Street and Riverside between 6.15pm and 8.06pm to carry out repairs safely," she said.

CE Electric have apologised for the inconvenience caused.
