Budding photographers needed for council project

Published on 4th September 2008 in News

The search is on for budding local photographers to work on the 'Images of our Town' arts project, run by Goole Town Council.

A drop-in photography workshop has been organised for Sunday, September 14 from 2pm to 4pm so people can take their cameras along for advice on how to capture photos.

The workshop will be held at The Gate in Goole and local photographer Debbie Harman will be on hand to help with ideas and give advice.

The 'Images of our Town' project sets out to develop large scale art work and photographs, which will be used on building site hoardings in the town.

Project co-ordinator Nicola Dixon is looking for local people who may have iconic photographs of the town: "Building site hoardings can look really boring, we want to make them look a lot more interesting so we are looking for great photos of Goole that really show the town off. These photos will be used on the hoardings and really show people what talent we have in Goole."

If you have images of Goole you have taken and would be happy to be used on building site hoardings, please email them to Nicola at nicola.gtc@btconnect.com or speak to her on 01405 763652, or drop into the Goole Town Council offices.
