The All Star Day Nursery in Holme on Spalding Moor is celebrating after receiving one of the best Ofsted reports.

The quality and standards of the nursery, which opened in 2007, were described as good with a strong aspect of provision.

The report goes on to say that the quality of teaching and learning is good, with staff providing very positive learning experiences for the children through well-planned but adaptable activities.

The Ofsted Inspector also praised staff's understanding of nursery education: "Staff support the children well and by observing their play, provide resources or advice to meet their needs.

"The children are developing independence and are enthusiastic, keen to learn and willing to talk about their activities and achievements, such as the vegetables they have grown and the development of their tadpoles," said the report.

The report also states the nursery helps the children make a positive contribution fostering their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development as they learn right from wrong.

"Children are developing very good social skills and independence in this encouraging and positive environment," added the inspector.

One recommendation made to All Stars was to continue to develop resources to widen children's knowledge and understanding of diversity.

Nursery owner Sherree Sawyer said: "We are very delighted with the report. It is due to the hard work of everybody involved and including the support of the parents.

"I am very pleased Ofsted have recognised all our hard work."
