New bobbies on the beat
Howden Neighbourhood Policing Team is now up to full strength after recruiting five extra officers.
The team has recruited three new police community support officers (PCSOs) and two police constables.
There's also a new neighbourhood police supervisor in place - Sergeant Jo Matthews.
The new recruits will bolster police cover in the Howdenshire, Howden and Snaith wards, which all have their own dedicated police teams.
The three new PCSOs are Charlotte Houghton and Simon Palmer, who will cover Howdenshire, and Matt Murphy, who will cover Snaith.
Mr Murphy's arrival means Snaith now has three PCSOs, one more than previously.
The two new police constables are Pc Jeff Tenant, who will cover Howden, and Pc Tim Lee, who will pound the beat in Howdenshire.
Pc Janet Anderson will continue to supervise policing in Snaith, which means all three wards will be covered by police officers.
Sgt Matthews said: "The Howden Neighbourhood Policing Team has seen some changes over the past few months, with new members of staff arriving.
"The Snaith ward continues to be covered by Pc Janet Anderson and now three PCSOs - Michelle Greenfield, Matt Murphy and Rachel Matthews.
"The Howden ward is now covered by Pc Jeff Tenant and PCSO Simon Smith, and the Howdenshire ward is now covered by Pc Tim Lee and PCSOs Andy Symonds, Charlotte Houghton and Simon Palmer."
The area policing team will remain part of the Goole Neighbourhood Policing Team supervised by Inspector Michael Bower.
Sgt Matthews said: "The team will continue to work together with the community and other agencies to tackle various issues."
