Councillor's expenses revealed
The East Riding Council has published a full list of members' expenses for the financial year 2007/08.
The figures, published this week, show the gross amounts claimed by East Riding councillors during the last financial year.
As well as a basic allowance of £10,321, which is payable to each councillor, many also picked up special-responsibility allowances for holding positions which require them to spend more time on the council's affairs than would be expected of other members.
The gross amounts for 2007/08 claimed by Goole-area ward councillors - as well as those claimed by Councillor Steve Parnaby, leader of East Riding Council - are set out in the table below:
