The council is inviting the public to give their views and opinions on future development in the East Riding area.

Manned drop-in sessions and displays are running all across East Riding until June 13 to give people the opportunity to find out more about the Local Development Framework (LDF) core strategy. Council officials will also be attending the sessions to answer any questions.

The strategy will be used to decide planning applications for investment and developments for the next 15-20 years.

The council is particularly keen to hear the public's views on how they think the East Riding's larger settlements could accommodate growth in the future. The main larger settlements include Haltemprice, Beverley, Bridlington, Driffield and Goole.

The plan also decides how many new homes should be built in the East Riding area. Currently permission for 1,190 is allowed.
