Town mayor Kevin Flynn presented a cheque for more than £12,000 to Boothferry Citizens' Advice Bureau this week.

Cllr Flynn presented the cheque for £12,730 on behalf of Goole Town Council.

The grant was for the third year of the CAB's three-year service level agreement (SLA) with the town council.

The mayor said: "We're pleased we can help a valuable service to the town." Ann Blackburn, vice-chairman of the CAB, said: "We are very grateful for the cheque."
