A woman has denied involvement in an internet banking scam and elected trial at Hull Crown Court.

Ilze Korsiete (23), of Saint John's Court in Goole, has denied entering a money laundering agreement following the removal of money from a bank account amounting to £5,600.

Factory worker Ms Korsiete was arrested and charged following a Humberside Police investigation into the withdrawal of funds from an account without consent.

Ms Korsiete, who needs an interpreter, appeared alone in the dock of Hull Crown Court as she pleaded not guilty to the single charge of money laundering between March 31 and April 19, 2007.

Defence barrister James Sampson said she maintained she was not guilty to the charge.

Judge Michael Mettyear ordered the case should be adjourned for trial at Hull Crown Court on a date to be fixed in the week commencing July 14.
