A woman will be tried for allegedly neglecting three horses she kept on land in Goole.

Serena Guest (35), of Percy Lodge Farm, appeared at Goole Magistrates' Court this week, where she denied three counts of causing unnecessary suffering to animals in her care.

Miss Guest, who was charged under Section 31 of the Animal Welfare Act, faces two allegations of causing unnecessary suffering to the horses between June 18 and July 18, 2007.

She faces a third charge of causing unnecessary suffering to the same three horses on July 18 last year.

Magistrates adjourned the case for a trial at the same court on September 10 this year. They also arranged a pre-trial review on June 18.

Miss Guest, who was charged in July last year, was released on unconditional bail.
