Burglary charges heads to crown
A former Goole assistant supermarket manager has appeared in court accused of aggravate burglary at the town's Eastgate flats.
Elton Arundel (28), formerly of Weatherall Street has appeared at Hull Crown Court and elected to stand trial.
Now living in Millfield Road, Thorne, Mr Arundel appeared in the dock of court two for a 15 minute hearing on Monday, February 18. As they were put to him, he denied separate charges of aggravated burglary and wounding a man on March 5 and 6 2007.
Crown barrister Nicholas Adlington set out the timetable for the case. Mr Arundel was represented by defence barrister Michael Soothill.
Judge David Tremberg adjourned the case for a trial at Hull Crown Court on the date to be fixed in the week commencing April 14. Arundel was allowed to walk free on conditional bail that he lives at the address in Thorne.
