Police are warning businesses in the area about a scam involving cash being changed into lower denominations.

At around 8pm last Thursday a man went into a shop in Holme on Spalding Moor and allegedly scammed the cashier out of around £190.

The man asked the cashier to change £200 from £20 notes to £10 notes before allegedly asking if the notes could then be changed back.

He then left the shop with his original £200 and £190 of money from the shop.

The man was around 5ft 8in tall, of large build, with dark hair. He was wearing a black sleeveless bomber-style jacket dark blue jeans and white trainers.

He was wearing watch with a round face and a brown leather strap and had a bracelet on his right wrist.
