Twinrivers Parish Council has a vacancy for a parish councillor.

A by-election to fill the vacancy will be held if ten electors of the parish write to the chief executive of East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC) at County Hall, Beverley, East Yorkshire, HU17 9BA by January 31, 2008, claiming an election.

If the chief executive does not receive such a request, the Parish Council will be informed that it may fill vacancies by co-option, which means that the council members will elect new colleagues from those who have already expressed an interest in joining the council.

If you would like to discuss the role, please contact Deborah Sedman, ERYC senior electoral assistant, on 01482 393311. Alternatively, please contact clerk to the Parish Council, Mrs V. Lond, at Orchard Cottage, Station Road, Fockerby, Garthorpe, Scunthorpe, North Lincs, DN17 4SA.
