Goole Disaster Fund is to retain its name.

At a recent Goole Town Council meeting, the Labour group suggested that the Holland House Action Group Reserve be combined with the Goole Disaster Fund, to form the Goole Community Fund.

However, Cllr Shirley Marshall objected and requested that it still be called Goole Disaster Fund. This was agreed by the councillors.

Money for the Goole Disaster Fund was raised by members of the RAF, who abseiled down the town's water tower in May, 2005.
