Reader may have £1.25m Lottery ticket
A Goole Times reader may be the lucky owner of an unclaimed £1.25 million winning National Lottery ticket.
It is believed that the ticket for the Saturday, December 8 Lottery was sold in the Goole/Selby area. The lucky winner stands to claim £1,254,321.
The winning numbers on that date were 4, 6, 10, 11, 24 and 33.
The lucky ticket holder has until 5.30pm on Thursday, June 5, 2008 to make their claim. If no one comes forward with the winning ticket before the prize claim deadline, then the prize money, with all the interest in has generated, will go to the Good Causes - adding to the £20bn already raised through sales of lottery tickets since The National Lottery launched in November, 1994.
With all National Lottery draws, players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize if they have the winning ticket.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: "We're desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings - this amazing prize could really make a difference and allow someone to begin 2008 in style. We're urging everyone to check their old tickets again or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding.
"It seems there are a few forgetful people in Yorkshire - the biggest National Lottery prize left unclaimed was a ticket bought in the North East area of Doncaster, which won £9.4m in July 2005. More recently, there was a £7.9m Lotto jackpot prize in the North Yorkshire area, from the draw on May 19, 2007 but, thankfully, that winner eventually came forward to collect their prize.
* Anyone who believes they have the winning ticket for any of the National Lottery draws within the 180-day deadline should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
