Pub-goers in Goole can enjoy a January sale with a difference at The City and County during January.

Manager Simon Pierce is cutting the price of a number of drinks from Wednesday, January 2 until Tuesday, January 15.

The drinks available in the sale are a pint of John Smith's Extra Smooth at £1.49 (normally £1.55), a pint of Guinness at £1.99 (normally £2.10), a pint of Foster's at £1.69 (£1.79), a Gordon's gin and tonic at 99p (£1.70), a bottle of still or sparkling water at 49p (£1.05) and a pint of Kronenbourg 1664 at £1.89 (£1.99).

In addition, customers at the pub will be able to enjoy a burger and chips with a drink for £3.49 (normal price £4.49).

Simon said: "Department stores and shops hold their sales in January, so I thought it would be a good idea to have a sale in the pub, too.

"The range of drinks on sale is aimed at suiting a wide variety of tastes and I believe that given the choice of a trip to a sale at the shops or a sale at The City and County, most people would prefer to visit the pub."
