A man was left with a broken nose and a bruised face after an assault in a Howden pub.

The victim, who is 20, was on the dance floor of the Bowman's Hotel when the incident occurred.

Between 11.30pm and 11.45pm on December 15 it is claimed he was approached by another man, who tapped him on the shoulder before headbutting him.

The attacker then walked away. The victim went to Goole and District Hospital, where he was treated for a broken nose and a bruised face. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Humberside Police on 0845 6060 222, quoting log 58 of December 15.
