Teachers praised after pupil assault
The parents of the boy assaulted at Howden School last week have expressed their gratitude to the teachers of the school for how they handled the incident.
Year eleven student Luke Brunyee was assaulted by another student last Tuesday, resulting in his being rushed to Hull Royal Infirmary. He was unable to leave hospital until Wednesday evening.
Mrs Brunyee said: "The paramedic said it is a wonder he is alive. I'd like to thank Mr Williams and Mr Stathers for all their kind thoughts and gifts. He has received a lot of cards from teachers and his friends. All the kids have been concerned, too. He is still unwell but he is on the road to recovery."
Police are still investigating and inquiries are ongoing.
