A Moorends man has been charged with murder.

Andrew Morris (27) appeared at Doncaster Magistrates' Court on Saturday, charged with the murder of Timothy Traynor (29).

Mr Traynor, also of Moorends, was found with stab wounds at Bloomhill Court, Moorends, at around 5pm on December 11.

He underwent surgery at Doncaster Royal Infirmary but died several hours later.

A second man, Kenneth Morris (55), of Hyde Park, was charged with affray and possession of an offensive weapon.

Both defendants were remanded in custody and are due to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on Friday.
