A MAN has appeared in court following a Humberside police investigation into a robbery in Pocklington in March.

Aaron Williams (22) appeared behind a glass screen in the high-security dock of court one at Hull Crown Court on Monday charged with conspiracy to commit robbery between February 1 and March 29 this year.

Mr Williams, of Salford, Greater Manchester, did not enter a plea to the charge, which is normal at this stage.

He is also charged with attempted wounding of Timothy Lee on March 28 at Howden.

He was represented in court by barrister Anil Murray, who made no application for bail.

Judge Roger Thorn, QC, remanded Mr Williams in custody and adjourned the case for a plea and directions hearing on January 8.
