Arsonists may have forced the windows of a property on Empson Avenue in Goole, police have said.

The inside of the property was damaged by a fire which was started between 3.45pm and 5.55pm last Thursday.

Firefighters from Goole put out the fire and no one is believed to have been injured.

Police are appealing for witnesses and urging anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and saw the offenders or saw anything that appeared suspicious to contact Humberside Police on 0845 6060 222, quoting log 470 of 22 November. Alternatively, call Crime Stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
