The Goole man charged with terrorist-related offences has had his case adjourned until February next year.

Michael Gilleard appeared via a videolink at a hearing on Friday and is expected to appear in person at a plea and directions hearing on February 29 at Kingston upon Thames Crown Court.

Mr Gilleard (31), of Pool Court, off Fourth Avenue in Goole, faces allegations of preparation of terrorist acts under the 2006 Terrorism Act: possession of material for terrorist purposes and collection of information useful in the preparation of an act of terrorism under the 2000 Terrorism Act.

He is also charged with possession of live ammunition under the 1968 Firearms Act.

He has been remanded in custody in a London prison.
