New football coaching sessions are under way at Howden School. The sessions are aimed at girls in school years three, four, five and six and boys and girls in years one and two.
They offer an introduction to football and cover topics outlined by the FA such as control, passing, moving with the ball and shooting. The sessions are run in partnership with the East Riding County FA Three Lions scheme.
Jamie Rowley, football development co-ordinator for East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: "This is an excellent opportunity for junior players of all abilities to try football for the first time or to develop their skills to the next level."
"The long-term aim of these sessions is to develop links and player pathways with local partner clubs, who will provide additional coaching and competitive football opportunities for the young people who take part."
The sessions will be run at Howden School on Wednesdays from 4pm until 5pm.
For further information, call Jamie Rowley on 01482 392531 or 07786 856076 or email jamie.rowley@ eastriding.gov.uk
