Charity plea
A local charity is appealing for donations of clothing, shoes, handbags, books and all saleable items to help raise funds for its work.
Autism Plus urgently needs fresh stock to sell in its retail shop in Wesley Square in Goole.
All profits will go towards providing care and support for children and adults with Autism, Asperger's Syndrome and other related conditions.
Autism Plus, formerly Thorne House Services for Autism, is a Yorkshire-based charity. Their services include Residential and Supported Living, Adult Learning, Domiciliary Care, Day Service Provision, Respite and Community Support.
More recently, the charity has added a Children's Service, a dedicated Employment Agency for people with Asperger's Syndrome and has been awarded a Pathways to Work contract in partnership with A4e.
Shop manager Diane Gover said: "Donations from the local community are very important to us, all proceeds allow us to continue our work in helping children and adults with autism and related conditions."
Donations can be taken directly to the shop and the charity also welcomes volunteers to help in its retail shops. The Goole shop number is 01405 767587.
