One man died and another was arrested after a crash near Thorne.

The two-vehicle accident happened around 10.20am on Friday, on Tudworth Road.

The driver of a red Daihatsu Grand Move, a 55-year-old man from Doncaster, was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary but later died from his injuries. The driver of a second vehicle, a white Mercedes Sprinter van, was a 48-year-old man from Grimsby. He was uninjured in the collision and was later arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Police are appealing for information - anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to call the Accident Witness Helpline on 0114 220 2970.
