Child abuse case goes to trial

Two Goole men facing a string of child abuse charges are due to stand trial at Hull Crown Court next month.

Scott Devy (23), formerly of Montague Street, is charged with assaulting a boy of under 13 years of age, possessing an indecent image of a minor and seven counts of possessing an indecent photograph of a minor.

Andrew Mayall (30), also formerly of Montague Street, is charged with inciting a boy under the age of 13 to engage in a sexual activity, possessing an indecent image of a minor, two counts of assaulting a boy under the age of 13 by touching, and seven counts of possessing an indecent photograph of a minor.

Last Friday, magistrates in Goole committed both cases to Hull Crown Court on December 10. Both men will be remanded in custody until that date.
