Style advice, pink champagne and special offers will all be available at Michael James Opticians in Goole this weekend when staff hold a unique two-day event in aid of the 'Think Pink!' breast cancer awareness campaign.
Anyone who books an appointment at Michael James Opticians in Boothferry Road on Friday, November 9 and Saturday, November 10, will be treated to a little pampering and will benefit from some fantastic offers in a bid to mark breast cancer awareness month.
As part of their appointment, customers will be able to receive free advice from Pauline Voce, who is a trained colour and style consultant for Silhouette and Swarovski. Pauline specialises in advising people on the style of spectacles that will best suit their face shape and colouring.
Customers can also enjoy a glass of pink champagne and other refreshments, and will receive up to 25 per cent discount on the spectacles of their choice.
On Saturday only, qualified beauticians Claire Deighton and Emma Masterman will be on hand to offer customers a free manicure as part of their appointment. All they ask is that customers make a small donation to Cancerbackup, the charity behind the 'Think Pink!' campaign. To boost the charity's funds further, Michael James Opticians will make a donation for every sale made on the day.
"The two-day 'Think Pink' event is one of a series of activities that we are organising over the next few months to raise funds for Cancerbackup and awareness of breast cancer," said Garrey Haase, who owns and runs Michael James Opticians.
"It's a fantastic cause and we chose to support it because most people know someone who has been affected by breast cancer. We hope that as well as raising much-needed funds, the events will also be lots of fun for our customers.
"We're delighted to have Pauline Voce with us and I'm sure that customers will find her advice extremely useful when choosing their spectacles."
