Go behind the scenes at hospital

Published on 8th November 2007 in News

A special open day is being organised to provide a unique look behind the scenes of Goole and District Hospital.

The event, which will see one-hour tours of the site and special displays being staged, is open to people who have signed up to become members of the Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. However, should spaces be available on the tours, anyone considering becoming members of the Trust can contact the Foundation Trust Office after November 6 to book a place.

Letters of invitation have been sent to Foundation Members who have previously expressed an interest in this type of event.

Visitors will be able to take in the Minor Injuries Unit, the Imaging Department and the Goole Surgical Treatment Centre.

Afterwards they will be able to speak to staff and browse displays which will cover wound care, pain management, infection control, rehabilitation, the Hull York Medical School Inter-Professional Training Ward and much more.

The tours, which are being held between 1pm and 7pm on Tuesday, November 13, are open to all Foundation Members.

Anyone wanting to book a place should either telephone 01724 387946 or email foundationtrustoffice@nlg.nhs.uk
