Children in Need ambulance pull

Published on 8th November 2007 in News

An ambulance crew is asking readers to get behind them as they pull four and a half tonnes through the streets.

The crew's annual ambulance pull, which raises money for Children in Need, takes place this Saturday, November 10, at midday.

Participants are asking as many people as possible to turn out and cheer them on.

Beginning at Goole Ambulance Station, the pull will follow Westfield Avenue, Pasture Road, around Wesley Square, through the precinct, to Tesco on Boothferry Road and then back to the station.

It will take between two and two and a half hours.

Over the years the pull has raised between £600 and £1,700 and the crew are hoping to beat that this year.

Anyone who can offer support by either collecting on the day, or by sponsoring them, is asked to call Steve Harrison on 07845 956318.
