Oakhill walk

Published on 1st November 2007 in News

The Friends of Oakhill group will be holding its last scheduled event of the year this Sunday when wildlife enthusiasts are invited to take part in a guided walk around the 150-acre Oakhill site.

The Autumn Watch event will look out for autumn specialities in the area, including fruiting trees, migrating birds and fungi.

All those interested in taking part should meet in The Courtyard's car park at 10am on Sunday, November 4, when lifts to the Oakhill site will be provided on a car share basis. Stout footwear is recommended.

The event is free to take part in as Friends of Oakhill events are run in partnership with East Riding of Yorkshire Council and the Big Lottery Fund.

The next event, bird-box construction, will take place in January, 2008.
