Teen in court for urinating in street

Relieving himself in the street has landed a teenager with a large fine.

Gavin Thompson (18), of Marshfield Road, appeared at Goole Magistrates' Court, where he pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place.

Andrew Stirling, for the Crown Prosecution Service, told magistrates that at around 11.30pm on August 3, Mr Thompson had been seen by the police urinating against a wall outside the Lowther Hotel.

The police officer noticed Mr Thompson was intoxicated and told him he would be charged with being drunk and disorderly.

Mr Thompson told the court: "I'm sorry for the offence. I was a bit drunk."

Magistrates ordered him to pay fine of £150, costs of £25 and a victim surcharge of £15.
