Neighbourhood policing teams are asking parents to help ensure their children do not turn Mischievous Night into Misery Night.

A police spokesperson said: "At this time of year, regular problems of nuisance and anti-social behaviour are caused by a minority of young people which bring distress to often vulnerable victims.

"Make sure your children are not in that minority - be aware, be responsible."

Police are asking parents and carers: "Do you know where your children are? Do you know what they are doing?"
