Four hundred dancers take part in competition

The Committee of Goole Dancers, together with dance teachers Sami, Jenni and Sally Rudge, organised a dancing competition at Goole Leisure Centre recently.

Four hundred dancers took part and the Goole dancers were very successful. Results were:

Disco Pairs - Ten and under: 1 K Lancaster and M Watson, 2 C Redshaw and J Barnett, 4 M Craighan and E Campbell. 12 and under: 1 A Jackson and E Graham, 2 Ab and Al Ramskill, 4 K Ruhmann and A Mahoney. 14 and under: 1 S Best and K Claybourn, 2 G Redshaw and J L Wood. 18 and above: 2 R and H Almond, 4 J Drury and N Webster.

Rock 'n' roll - Ten and under: 2 M Watson and K Lancaster, 4 E Campbell and M Craighan. 12 and under: 1 A Fawcett and L Gill, 2 A Mahoney and K Ruhmann, 3 Al and Ab Ramskill. 14 and under: 1 K Claybourn and S Best, 3 J L Wood and G Redshaw, 4 N O'Brien and D Lancaster. 17 and under: 2 E Lucas and T Frere, 4 K Ward and K Hood. 18 and above: 1 H and R Almond.
