Church needs new bell ringers

Published on 25th October 2007 in News

Calling all potential campanologists!

St John's Parish Church in Goole would like to invite local residents to go along and give bell-ringing a go.

Bell-ringing is a team activity that stimulates the brain and helps fitness levels, as well as making a glorious sound. Many consider bell-ringing to be their contribution to the church life, whilst others do it for the pleasure it brings, and bell-ringers come from all walks of life and range in age from ten-year-olds to those in their eighties.

The bell-ringing group meets every Thursday evening at Goole Parish Church, from 7pm until 8pm, so feel free to go along and join in the fun. For more information, please contact churchwarden Beryl Beck-Taylor on 01405 765987.
